Spherion York is working to fill weekday and weekend shifts, High Reach Forklift Operator position in York, PA. The pay rate is $18.45 to $19.45 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

A high reach forklift operator safely maneuvers specialized stand-up reach trucks to lift, move, and stack heavy inventory into high-elevation storage racks in warehouses and distribution centers

What you'll do:

• Equipment Operation: Drive and control high-reach, stand-up forklifts to navigate narrow aisles and elevate or retrieve pallets at heights often exceeding 20–30 feet
• Inventory Handling: Pick, pack, stage, and replenish stock while tracking products using RF (Radio Frequency) scanners and Warehouse Management Systems
• Safety & Inspections: Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, report mechanical issues, and adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines
• Loading and Unloading: Load or unload incoming and outgoing freight from trailers, ensuring that loads are centered, wrapped, and stable

Education: High School

Experience: 12 months

Atleast one year previous experience on high reach/stand up forklift

Physical:

• Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs),Repetitive Motion,Pushing / Pulling,Manual Dexterity

Related Experience: Experience: Typically 1 to 3+ years of recent experience operating stand-up high-reach equipment in a fast-paced logistics environment, Core Skills: Strong spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, basic math, and clear verbal communication.
