Spherion is hiring a 1st Shift, Shipping Coordinator position in Canonsburg, PA. The pay rate is $18.00 to $19.00 HOURLY.

Description:

As a Shipping Coordinator, you make sure orders go out on time and without mistakes. You will make shipping papers, schedule freight trucks, and pack items for daily orders and special events. You will check packages to ensure the right items are inside, fix delivery issues, and ship boxes across the country and overseas. Working with the rest of the crew, you help keep the warehouse moving so customers get what they ordered.

What you'll do:

• Check items to make sure they are made right and not damaged.
• Pack boxes safely so nothing breaks in shipping.
• Check orders to make sure the counts and addresses are correct.
• Make shipping labels and paperwork (BOLs).
• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, including international ones.
• Update the computer system and inventory counts.
• Talk with customer service to fix any shipping problems fast.
• Help other teams when needed (order picking, packing, mailing, warehouse).
• Get shipments out on time.

Education: High School

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 12 months

Preferred of 1 year experience in shipping receiving in a business environment

Physical:

• Standing up to 8 hours a day,Ability to push, pull, lift or carry up to 30 lbs. occasionally

Skills:

• Able to work in a fast-paced setting,Customer service,Able to learn shipping systems,Strong problem solving skills,Ability to work with other teams to improve processes
