Spherion is hiring a Material Handler in Coal Center. The Material Handler position pays $22.25 per hour and offers a 3pm to 11:30pm schedule. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity.
Description:
As a Material Handler you would be operating warehouse power equipment safely and efficiently. You would also be receiving inbound shipments and utilizing computerized systems within the warehouse.
What you'll do:
- Safely and efficiently operate warehouse power equipment including forklifts
- Receiving inbound shipments and verifying quantities
- Perform quality checks on finished products
- Load and unload materials from trucks by hand or using a forklift
- Utilize computerized systems for inventory management
- Train new material handlers as needed
- Assist with packing and other duties as required
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 36 months
Experience with a forklift and turret truck, Computer skills, SAPPhysical:
- Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Standing / Walking
- Bending / Stooping / Kneeling
- Repetitive Motion
- Pushing / Pulling
- Manual Dexterity
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to train others
