Spherion is hiring a Punch Press Operator in Canonsburg. The Punch Press Operator position offers a 3pm to 11pm schedule with a pay rate of $18 per hour. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity.

Description:

As a Punch Press Operator you would be responsible for producing high quality parts with a punch press machine.

What you'll do:

• Operating a punch press machine in manual or automatic mode
• Producing parts to meet quality standards
• Learning the operating sequence of the machine to ensure it is running properly
• Setting up jobs
• Loading and unloading, programming, and making adjustments
• Performing quality checks on finished products
• Performing preventative maintenance on machinery
• Reading and interpreting blueprints or technical drawings

Education: High School

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 12 months

1+ year of experience operating a hydraulic press (preferred), 1+ year of experience utilizing measurement devices, 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting blueprints

Physical:

• Must be able to stand for a full shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
