Spherion is hiring a Welder in Canonsburg. The Welder position offers a 3pm to 11pm schedule with a pay rate of $20 per hour. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity. Training for the Welder position would occur on first shift.

Description:

As a Welder you would be responsible for welding, cutting, and brazing metal parts and products. You would also make sure the quality of your work meets proper specifications

What you'll do:

• Join, cut, and heat metal parts using welding equipment and techniques
• Repair or make new items using welding and cutting tools
• Keep an eye on your work to ensure metal does not overheat or get damaged
• Read work orders to prepare tools and materials properly
• Prepare, put parts together, and perform tack welding to hold them in place
• Keep your workspace clean, organized and safe

Education: High School

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical certification or similar work experience (preferred)

Experience: 12 months

Understanding of tools and machines used during the welding process, Understanding of design techniques and required tools, Understanding of blueprints and technical drawings, Familiarity with measurement devices, Basic understanding of math

Physical:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead
