Spherion is hiring a Welder in Canonsburg. The Welder positon pays $20 per hour and offers a 3pm to 11pm schedule. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity. Training for this position would occur on first shift.

Description:

As a Welder you would be responsible for welding, cutting, and brazing metal parts and products. You would also make sure the quality of your work meets the proper specifications.

What you'll do:

• Join, cut, and heat metal parts using welding equipment and techniques
• Repair or create products using welding and cutting tools
• Ensure metal does not overheat or get damaged during the welding process
• Read work orders to prepare materials and tools properly
• Keep a clean and organized work area

Education: High School

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical certification or similar work experience (preferred)

Experience: 12 months

Understanding of tools and machines used during the welding process, Understanding of design techniques and required tools, Understanding of blueprints and technical drawings, Familiarity with measurement devices, Basic understanding of math

Physical:

• Must be able to stand for a full shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel
