Spherion is hiring a Machinist in Canonsburg. The Machinist position offers a 7am to 3pm schedule with a pay rate based on experience. The Machinist position is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity.
Description:
As a Machinist you would be responsible for operating Manual and CNC machines in a safe and efficient manner.
What you'll do:
- Setting up and operating CNC and Manual machines
- Utilizing fabrication equipment such as grinders to create precision parts
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Understanding and utilizing CAD/CAM files
- Aligning and securing tooling and materials
- Monitoring machinery to ensure that it is running properly and efficiently
- Troubleshooting any issues with machines
- Assisting in other areas as needed
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical Schooling (Preferred)
Experience: 36 months
Experience with CNC and Manual Machines, FabricationPhysical:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for a full shift
