Spherion is hiring a Welder in Washington. The Welder position pays $20 to $25 per hour with a 7am to 3pm schedule. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity.

Description:

As a Welder you would be welding thin metal pieces and structures. You would also use fabrication equipment and check the quality of your work.

What you'll do:

• Weld and assemble metal pieces and structures to meet specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Use different equipment including saws, grinders, and welding machines
• Perform quality checks on finished items to ensure they meet the proper standards
• Wear proper PPE at all times to remain safe
• Assist in other areas as needed

Education: High School

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 24 months

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, Experience welding thin gauge metals

Physical:

• Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Standing / Walking
• Repetitive Motion
• Bending / Stooping / Kneeling

Skills:

• TIG and MIG welding
• Blueprints and schematics
• Understanding of metal types and thicknesses
• Basic math
• Stick welding (preferred)
