Spherion is hiring a Welder in Washington. The Welder position offers a 7am to 3pm schedule with a pay rate of $20 to $25 per hour. This is a full-time, temp--to-hire opportunity.

Description:

As a Welder you would be welding thin metal pieces and structures. You would also use fabrication equipment and perform quality checks as well.

What you'll do:

  • Weld and assembler metal pieces and structures to meet proper specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Use equipment including saws, grinders, and welding machines
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet proper standards
  • Wear proper PPE at all times to remain safe
  • Assist in other areas as needed

Education: High School

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 24 months

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, Experience welding thin gauge metals

Physical:

  • Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
  • Standing / Walking
  • Repetitive Motion
  • Bending / Stooping / Kneeling
  • Pushing / Pulling

Skills:

  • TIG and MIG welding
  • Reading blueprints and schematics
  • Understanding of metal types and thicknesses
  • Basic math
  • Stick welding (preferred)
