Spherion Williamsport is working to fill a 6:30am-3pm, Printing Press Operator position in Williamsport, PA. The pay rate is $15.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

The Printing Press Operator runs and manages printing jobs according to customer specifications. This position ensures high quality, minimal waste, and safe daily operations. You will set up the press, run test samples, check colors, and complete production runs efficiently.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare inks, cylinders, and paper rolls according to job folder specifications.
  • Run sample prints, measure output, and get manager approval before full production runs.
  • Run full printing jobs smoothly while tracking progress on daily press sheets.
  • Perform daily press cleaning, routine maintenance, and request technician help when needed.
  • Keep finished samples for future orders and request replacement machine parts when necessary.
  • Keep the workspace clean and strictly follow all safety guidelines.

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 18 months

Physical:

  • Heavy Lifting (50+ lbs)
  • Standing / Walking
  • Repetitive Motion
  • Bending / Stooping / Kneeling
  • Pushing / Pulling
  • PPE Required (Noise / Chemical / Dust)

Skills:

  • Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler.
  • Ability to see all colors clearly.
  • Basic computer skills (in-house training provided).
  • Commercial printing experience is a plus.
