Spherion Williamsport is working to fill a 6pm-6am, Food Quality Technician position in Montgomery, PA. The pay rate is $21.00 HOURLY.

Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician for a temporary role running through the end of the year to train and cover upcoming employee leaves. This position features a changing night-shift schedule, starting at three 12-hour nights and transitioning to five 8-hour nights in early August, with potential second-shift hours as well. While prior quality experience is a plus, the ideal candidate must possess strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to thorough work.

What you'll do:

• Inspect products and packaging on the production line to make sure they meet all company standards.
• Use computer software to accurately enter test results, track quality data, and save daily reports.
• Use basic testing tools and equipment to check product safety and quality, following clear step-by-step instructions.
• Keep neat, detailed, and accurate paperwork of all inspections and tests performed during your shift.
• Quickly flag and report any product defects, mistakes, or safety concerns to the shift supervisor.
• Stay flexible with your schedule as it changes from 12-hour nights to 8-hour nights to help cover team leaves.
• Maintain a clean work area and strictly follow all plant safety, quality, and hygiene guidelines.

Education: High School

• ServSafe Handler

Experience: 12 months

You must be comfortable using basic software and spreadsheets to log test results, enter data, and save daily reports., You need a sharp eye for finding mistakes, noticing defects, and following multi-step instructions exactly as written every single time., Since this role is covering leaves, you must be willing and able to work a changing night shift (switching from 12-hour shifts to 8-hour shifts) and possibly some second-shift hours.
