Painter to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paints, stains, clear coats, and specialty finishes to a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces across residential remodeling projects. Description:
Surface Preparation: Prepare all types of surfaces thoroughly before painting, which includes scraping, sanding, patching holes/cracks, caulking, taping, and priming walls, ceilings, trim, and exterior siding.
What you'll do:
- Interior & Exterior Painting: Apply paints, stains, and protective finishes evenly using brushes, rollers, and paint sprayers on drywall, wood, metal, and masonry surfaces.
- Cabinet & Trim Finishing: Skillfully paint or stain custom cabinetry, doors, crown molding, and baseboards to achieve a smooth, high-end, professional look.
- Job Site Protection & Cleanup: Properly mask, drape, and protect client furniture, floors, and surrounding areas. Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the project and perform a thorough cleanup upon completion.
- Client Interaction: Maintain a polite, respectful, and professional demeanor when working inside occupied homes or active residential properties.
Education: High School
Skills:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with various application tools (brushes, rollers, conventional and airless paint sprayers).
- Strong knowledge of different paint types, primers, stains, and finishes relative to specific surfaces.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly with cutting in lines and surface prep.
- Licenses & Transportation: Valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle to travel to various job sites, and a clean driving record.
- Tools: Possession of standard hand tools and painting gear.
