Spherion Williamsport is working to fill a Day Shift, Carpenter position in Trout Run, PA. The pay rate is $25.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

Spherion is looking for a skilled full-time Carpenter starting at $25.00 per hour to join our building and remodeling team. In this role, you will work on physical tasks like framing, putting up drywall, installing cabinets, and doing general home repairs.

What you'll do:

• Handle structural framing, hang drywall, and install detailed trim work with a high level of precision.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand project specifications and layout measurements.
• Securely install cabinets, doors, flooring, wall tiles, and household fixtures to finish a space.
• Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding systems effectively while keeping safety in mind.
• Help with basic plumbing, electrical wiring, and metal framing to support full-scale remodeling projects.
• Perform heavy lifting and other physically demanding construction tasks daily.
• Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards and company guidelines to maintain a secure job site.

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 36 months

3 years of Carpentry experience, Hands on experience with rough framing, drywall, installing tram, handing doors, and cabinetry, Must have their own reliable transportation

Skills:

• Solid experience with wood or metal structural framing, hanging drywall, and applying plaster or stucco.
• High-level skills in installing trim, molding, hanging doors, and setting cabinets.
• Ability to lay down various types of flooring and install wall/backsplash tiles.
• Expert use of standard hand and power tools (saws, drills, nail guns) and scaffolding.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to build things exactly to plan
• Practical, basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical wiring for remodeling projects.
