Sanitation Laborer

The 1st Shift Floor Cleaner has one main job: keeping the factory floors perfectly clean, dry, and safe. This position focuses completely on the floors. You will not have to work on production lines, take apart machinery, or do any other factory chores. Start date: Immediate/ next business day. All cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies will be provided by the company. Short-term assignment for several weeks. Sunday -Thursday

Workers must:

Be able to perform physical cleaning tasks for extended periods.

Operate basic experience cleaning tools (mop, brush).

What you'll do:

• Clean and Sanitize Floors: Wash, scrub, and disinfect factory floors every day, especially in busy areas where food is made.
• Use Cleaning Tools: Run industrial cleaning machines like walk-behind floor scrubbers and floor steamers. You will also use traditional tools like mops and hand-scrub brushes for tight spots.
• Use Chemicals Safely: Mix and use floor cleaners and soaps exactly the way the safety rules say to.
• Keep People Safe: Make sure floors are not slippery. You will put up "Wet Floor" signs and quickly clean up any spilled water or food ingredients to prevent slips and falls.
• Take Care of Your Tools: Clean out your floor scrubber tanks at the end of the day, wash the scrubbing pads, and plug the machines in so they are charged for the next shift.

Education: High School

• No additional Health & Safety training, production training, or job-specific certifications required
