Spherion Williamsport is working to fill a 1st Shift, Press Brake Operator position in Williamsport, PA. The pay rate is $18.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

We are seeking a skilled 1st shift Press Brake Operator to join our team in Williamsport. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring a press brake machine to bend and shape metal sheets according to blueprints. A strong eye for detail is required to ensure all finished parts meet precise quality and safety standards.

What you'll do:

• Set up, safely operate, and monitor a press brake machine to bend and form sheet metal according to exact project specifications.
• Create, load, and verify part programs on the machine to ensure accurate production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and detailed work instructions to guide the fabrication process.
• Select, measure, install, and change out specialized dies and tooling based on specific job measurements.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, or other measuring tools to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Organize and stack completed parts and raw materials onto production carts to maintain a clean, efficient workspace.

Education: High School

Experience: 12 months

1 to 3 years of experience setting up and operating CNC press brake machines (or a similar metal fabrication background)., Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions., Strong basic math skills (including fractions and decimals) and experience using precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and tape measures., Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift.

• Knowledge of how to enter data or load pre-existing programs into the machine's computer interface.
