Spherion Williamsport is working to fill a 1st Shift, Press Brake Operator position in Williamsport, PA. The pay rate is $18.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

We are fast-tracking interviews for an immediate opening for a skilled Press Brake Operator. If you are an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator with CNC machine experience looking to level up your skills, we want to hear from you!

What you'll do:

• Set up, monitor, and operate the Press Brake machine, which includes installing and removing dies to precise measurements.
• Form sheet metal according to specifications, and create or verify part programs.
• Read and accurately interpret blueprints and technical work instructions.
• Inspect finished parts using a tape measure, calipers, and gauges to ensure they meet strict quality standards and tolerances.
• Organize completed parts on production carts, and safely lift/move steel sheets ranging from 20 to 80 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift.

Education: High School

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 12 months

Measuring skills are an absolute must; tape measure test will be administered on first interview. Skills should include:, Tape measure, Calipers, Gauges, Quick ability to convert decimals to fractions is a plus.

Physical:

• Heavy Lifting (50+ lbs)
• Standing / Walking
• Bending / Stooping / Kneeling
• PPE Required (Noise / Chemical / Dust)

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Comfortable using basic computer systems and production software.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours preforming repetitive manufacturing tasks which require repeatedly lifting sheets of steel ranging from 20-80 pounds.
