Spherion Williamsport is working to fill a 1st Shift, Laundry Press Operator position in Montoursville, PA. The pay rate is $16.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

We are seeking a reliable and attentive Laundry Laborer to join our team full-time. In this role, you will process incoming clothing and personal items, handle washing and drying operations according to care labels, and ensure every item is returned to its designated family with the utmost care and accuracy.

What you'll do:

• Carefully inspect and categorize incoming laundry and personal belongings to ensure correct assignment to each family.
• Process items according to tag specifications and fabric guidelines; load and unload commercial or standard washers and dryers safely.
• Steam, iron, fold, or hang garments as required to maintain high presentation standards.
• Wipe down non-washable or specialty items as needed, handling all belongings with strict attention to care and detail.
• Check items before and after processing for proper cleanliness, damage, or special instructions.

Education: High School

Experience: 12 months

Prior experience in commercial laundry, garment care, or housekeeping is a plus, but not required.

• PPE Required (Noise / Chemical / Dust)

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and respect for client/family property.
• Ability to read and interpret garment care tags and instruction labels.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift laundry baskets, and load machinery throughout a full-time shift.
• Excellent organizational skills and reliable attendance for 1st shift hours.
