1st Shift Assembler

Spherion Sunbury is working to fill a 1st Shift Assembler position in Muncy, PA. The pay rate is $16.00 HOURLY.

Description:

We are looking for a reliable Assembler to join our factory team. In this role, you will help build, load, and prepare cable reels for shipment. You will work on a production line using basic hand tools and equipment to make sure products are put together correctly and ready for customers.

What you'll do:

• Put together cable reels using hand and power tools.
• Safely wind industrial cable onto reels according to daily orders.
• Inspect finished reels and cables for visible damage, flaws, or loose parts.
• Move raw materials and finished reels around the work area as needed.
• Keep your work space clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 12 months

Physical:

• Heavy Lifting (50+ lbs),Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs),Standing / Walking,Repetitive Motion,Bending / Stooping / Kneeling,Pushing / Pulling,Manual Dexterity

Skills:

• Basic Tool Knowledge: Comfort using common hand and power tools like wrenches, drills, hammers, and pneumatic nail guns.,Detail Orientation: Ability to spot visual flaws or damage in materials and follow specific assembly instructions accurately.,Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safe material handling practices and proper protective gear usage on a factory floor.,Basic Literacy & Math: Reading work orders, understanding simple measurement instructions, and accurately matching label information.,Teamwork & Communication: Ability to work well alongside line team members and take direction from production managers.
