Field Service Technician

We are looking for a Field Service Technician for a local St Marys, PA employer, to support their customers across North America & Internationally! This is a DIRECT HIRE position, which means if you are the chosen candidate after the interview process you will be hired directly by the employer. You will not work as a Spherion employee!

Job Description:

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll manage and perform on-site equipment installation, maintenance, and service. You’ll represent the employer with professionalism and technical expertise, ensuring their customers experience best-in-class support from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Travel extensively to customer sites across North America & Internationally
• Manage large-scale equipment installations, including coordination with rigging crews and subcontractors
• Perform mechanical assembly, welding, pipe fitting, and general reassembly of equipment
• Support start-up and commissioning of new thermal processing systems
• Troubleshoot, service, and repair existing equipment in the field
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to plan and execute field projects
• Provide clear, professional communication with customers regarding job progress and completion
• Offer feedback to internal teams to support continuous improvement

Skills:

• Electrical knowledge
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in: Welding, pipe fitting, general mechanical assembly 
• Reading and interpreting blueprints
• Operating rigging and heavy equipment
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Organizational and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively 
• High School Diploma or equivalent (technical training and experience preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
