CNC Machine Setup

Job Description:

In this role, you will handle the full process of set up and operation of different machines. You will use your skills to prepare CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, and other equipment so the production line runs smoothly. A good eye for detail and knowledge of how metal should be cut and shaped will be key to your success.

Responsibilities:

• Load, edit, and modify CNC programs and thorough knowledge of G-code
• Read and interpret engineering drawings / blue prints
• Set up CNC lathes and CNC Milling machines as well as conventional machining equipment
• Setup & use micrometers, Indicators and various other forms of inspection equipment

Education: High School

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 6 months

Skills:

• Previous experience as a CNC machine operator with at least 6 months of hands-on work
• Strong knowledge of how to set up CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and written instructions
• Comfort working with metal and tools used for cutting, shaping, and measuring
• Detail-oriented and reliable, with a focus on safe and accurate work
