We are searching for a full time, direct hire Director of Product Development for our customer in Mifflintown PA to manage the innovation and renovation product development and commercialization activities, and assist in innovation concept development, consumer research, and co-manufacturing processes.

Description:

• Manage end-to-end product development including formulation, ingredient sourcing, costing, pricing, nutritional labeling, shelf-life validation, packaging development and specification management.

What you'll do:

• • Partner with the Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer to translate brand strategy and consumer insights into commercially viable product concepts.
• • Drive continuous improvement of existing products through cost optimization, process enhancements and quality improvements.
• • Collaborate with leadership to oversee creation and maintenance of product documentation, including sell sheets, customer specifications and buyer forms, ensuring accuracy, compliance and usability for Sales and Customer Service.
• • Develop and maintain product specifications for new and existing products, documenting revisions and maintaining change logs to support regulatory compliance and audit requirements.
• • Maintain and update company batch sheets for further-processed products, creating new documents and modifying existing ones while documenting all changes and rationale to ensure accuracy and traceability

Education: Bachelor Degree

• - BS/BA in food science, food technology, chemistry, or related field

Experience:

- Minimum 7+ years of proven experience in developing and commercializing meat products; kosher meat experience a plus, - Expertise in experimental design, process development, troubleshooting and technical data analysis, - Knowledge of food safety and regulations and quality assurance practices
