Spherion State College is working to fill a 1st Shift (2-2-3), Maintenance -Osprey Cleaner position in Lewistown, PA. The pay rate is $18.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

The Osprey Room Maintenance Cleaner ensures the specialized Osprey operations area remains clean, safe, and fully operational. This role focuses on technical sanitation, debris removal, and preventative upkeep to prevent mechanical downtime and maintain strict environmental compliance.

What you'll do:

• Execute deep cleaning of specialized Osprey machinery, enclosures, and workspace areas.
• Remove operational waste, dust, and heavy debris clogging critical mechanical components.
• Sanitize surfaces using approved chemical agents to meet safety standards.Inspect equipment visually during cleaning to report wear, tear, or damage.
• Clear drainage systems and ventilation paths to ensure continuous, effective room airflow.
• Follow strict protocols regarding hazardous materials, safety gear, and lockout/tagout procedures.

Education: High School

• Experience: 1+ years in industrial, commercial, or specialized facility cleaning.Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and stand for long shifts.Technical Safety: Knowledge of chemical handling (OSHA/HAZMAT) and industrial safety gear.Detail Oriented: Ability to spot mechanical blockages or structural irregularities quickly.

Experience: 6 months
