Spherion State College is working to fill a 1st Shift, Loader Unloader position in Mifflintown, PA. The pay rate is $18.25 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.
Description:
A loader/unloader is responsible for the physical movement of freight, handling the safe loading, unloading, and organizing of goods and materials from shipping containers, trucks, or railcars. This is an entry-level role ensures the efficient flow of the supply chain
What you'll do:
- Safely load and unload cargo manually.
- Check shipping manifests to ensure accurate quantities and inspect incoming goods for damages before storage.
- Move materials to designated warehouse areas and properly stack, tag, or wrap pallets for distribution.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, maintain a clean workspace, and wear required protective gear.
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 6 months
Physical:
- Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
