Forklift Operator

Spherion State College is working to fill a Night Shift, Forklift Operator position in Howard, PA. The pay rate is $22.81 HOURLY.

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to manage material flow within our Howard facility. This role is vital to our production cycle; you will be responsible for the safe movement of raw materials and finished goods. Valid forklift experience is required for this position to ensure immediate impact and adherence to our safety standards.

What you'll do:

• Expertly operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, or reach trucks) to move heavy loads in a tight manufacturing setting.
• Efficiently manage incoming freight and outgoing shipments with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ensure production lines remain stocked with materials to prevent downtime.
• Perform basic inventory checks and log movements using warehouse management software or paper manifests.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintain a "safety-first" mindset at all times.

Education: High School

• High school or GED
• Forklift Certification

Experience: 24 months

Physical:

• Long periods of sitting or standing, requiring strong stamina and hand-eye coordination for precision maneuvering in tight spaces.,Operators often engage in repetitive, physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, climbing on/off the machine, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
