Spherion State College is working to fill a 3rd Shift, Janitor Custodian position in University Park, PA. The pay rate is $14.00 HOURLY.
Description:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for our [staff/students/customers]. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work and can operate independently.
What you'll do:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; clean and disinfect restrooms and break rooms.
- Empty trash and recycling bins daily; ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Dust furniture, wipe down windows/glass, and sanitize high-touch surfaces (doorknobs, light switches).
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when restock is needed.
- Report any safety hazards or needed repairs to the supervisor.
- Perform light maintenance (e.g., changing lightbulbs) as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals properly.
Education: No formal education required.
