Spherion State College is working with a client in their search to fill a 1st Shift, Manufacturing Engineer position in State College, PA. The pay rate is $46.15 to $49.05 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.
Description:
This position needs someone who will lead manufacturing related activities on programs and prototype hardware. Engineer who would learn, own and run the process as well as become the subject matter experts for the equipment responsible of the area supporting.
What you'll do:
- Interfacing with design engineers to ensure hardware is highly-producible.
- Assisting with high visibility manufacturing efforts, including formal cost/schedule responsibilities and manufacturing readiness reviews, which may include direct customer interface.

- Security Clearance required for role: Ability to Obtain
Education: Bachelor Degree
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Process Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
Experience: 36 months
Background of manufacturing in electronics, Additional knowledge of MIL/IPC workmanship and performance standards related to electronic assemblies (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, etc.), Demonstrated ability to find root cause of manufacturing process problems, workmanship defects, mechanical test failures, etc., Someone with strong leadership background would be ideal, Good communication skills including the ability to deliver effective presentations to peers, management.Physical:
- Industrial Engineering Technician, Manufacturing Technology Analyst, Quality Control Engineering Technician (QC Engineering Technician), Quality Technician
Skills:
- Background of manufacturing in electronics
