Assembler

Spherion State College is working with a client in their search to fill a 1st Shift, Assembler position in State College, PA. The pay rate is $25.00 to $30.00 HOURLY.

Job Description:

This assembler position will contribute to the company’s success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.

Responsibilities:

• Follows an engineering assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts.
• Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material.
• Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production state of the art environment.
• Ability to obtain a top secret clearance which requires US Citizenship

Education: High School

• HS or GED

Experience: 24 months

Physical:

• This position is subject to U.S. export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
