Spherion State College is working to fill a 1st Shift, Production Technician position in Philipsburg, PA. The pay rate is $15.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

[The Production Technician is responsible for the hands-on assembly, testing, and inspection of medical devices in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This role requires following strict standard operating procedures, working within controlled cleanroom environments, and utilizing precision tools to ensure all products meet Good Manufacturing Practice safety and quality standards

What you'll do:

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components of benchtop centrifuges.
• Use light hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic or electronic equipment.
• Read and follow assembly diagrams, written instructions, and production prints.
• Inspect parts for any defects and maintain accurate assembly documentation.
• Report quality or process issues directly to supervisors or engineering staff

Education: High School

• High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
• Alternate education and experience will be considered based on individual potential and passion for the work.

Experience: 3 months

3-6 months of manufacturing experience (preferred but not required; we will train motivated candidates).

• Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs)

• Pushing / Pulling
• Hot Environments
• Cold Environments

Skills:

• Visual acuity and attention to detail when handling and inspecting small parts.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, diagrams, and visual work aids.
• Familiarity with basic assembly and measuring tools is preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with the team.
• Basic computer skills for training, documentation, and communication.
