Spherion State College is working with a client in their search to fill a 1st Shift, Tool Maker position in Philipsburg, PA. The pay rate is $19.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.
Job Description:
Tool Makers will analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools. As a Tool Maker you will work closely with production to make sure work is satisfactory. Experience as a Tool Maker is required.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings to construct precision tools, molds, dies, fixtures, and gauges that support critical manufacturing processes.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to ensure strict adherence to close tolerances while consistently upholding our commitment to safety and quality.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to implement design changes and continuous improvements.
- Perform other duties as needed, contributing to a flexible and supportive team environment.
Education: High School
