Production Operator

Spherion State College is working with a client in their search to fill a 3rd Shift, Production Operator position in Howard, PA.

Job Description:

A production operator runs, monitors, and maintains manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient and safe production of goods that meet quality standards. Key duties include setting up machinery, feeding raw materials, performing quality control checks, making minor repairs, and adhering to safety protocols. This role requires vigilance, technical aptitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals

Responsibilities:

• Machinery Operation: Setting up, operating, and monitoring machinery and equipment on a production line.
• Material Handling: Feeding raw materials and components into machines for processing.
• Quality Control: Inspecting and testing finished products to ensure they meet company and safety standards.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Performing minor repairs on equipment, replacing parts, and identifying/resolving technical issues to maintain optimal efficiency.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
• Record Keeping: Documenting production data, quality checks, and any issues encountered during operation.
• Collaboration: Working with supervisors and other team members to report issues, receive instructions, and ensure production targets are met.

Education: High School

Experience: 12 months
