Spherion State College is working to fill a 1st Shift, Assistant Buyer position in Lewistown, PA. The pay rate is $18.00 HOURLY.
Contract Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension.
Description:
A procurement assistant supports an organization's purchasing department by managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and monitoring inventory. They act as the vital link between vendors and internal teams to ensure cost-efficiency, contract compliance, and a steady supply of necessary goods or services
What you'll do:
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers
- Uploading pricing/delivery dates into our EAM system.
- Running open order reports
- Following Up with Vendors
- General Procurement tasks
Education: High School
Experience: 12 months
Procurement experience preferred but not required.
