Shipper/Packer

Spherion Staffing is working to fill a 2nd Shift, Packer position in Alexandria, PA. The pay rate is $15.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary.

Description:

You will be doing hand packing of varying sizes of notebooks and paper products, as well as packing/feeding machines. This will require a lot of standing, kneeling, bending, and stacking. You may also be required to use permanent markers to mark boxes. If you are unable to perform any of these tasks, please notify your temp agency representative as soon as possible.

What you'll do:

• Pick customer orders
• Pack items into master cartons
• Prepare products for shipment
• Label cartons and pallets, and wrap loads securely for transportation
• Inspect the quality of goods received or shipped, and verify items against pick lists
• Process shipments for carriers like UPS/FedEx
• Materials within the facility, and maintain a clean work area

Education: High School

• High School or GED

Physical:

• Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs),Standing / Walking,Repetitive Motion,Bending / Stooping / Kneeling,Pushing / Pulling

Skills:

• Previous warehouse experience is often preferred, but training is provided for some positions.,Ability to use material handling equipment and computer terminals for warehouse systems
