Production Packer

Spherion State College is working to fill a 2nd Shift, Production Packer position in Alexandria, PA. The pay rate is $15.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

You will be doing hand packing of varying sizes of notebooks and paper products, as well as packing/feeding machines. This will require a lot of standing, kneeling, bending, and stacking. You may also be required to use permanent markers to mark boxes.

What you'll do:

• Gathering items listed on invoices, ensuring the correct items are picked, and securely packing them into shipping containers
• Inspecting products for damage or defects, and verifying that items match order specifications before sealing
• Weighing packages, applying shipping labels, and updating inventory records, invoices, or delivery notes.
• Stacking completed packages, loading goods onto pallets, and maintaining a clean, organized work station.
• Following all company safety protocols and operating equipment (like tape machines or scanners) correctly.

Education: High School

• HS or GED

Physical:

• Ability to lift, stand, and move for long periods.

Skills:

• Ensuring accuracy in packing and labeling to avoid shipping errors.,Ability to work with others to meet daily shipping targets.
