Spherion Johnstown is working with a client in their search to fill a Day Shift, Forklift Operator position in Johnstown, PA. The pay rate is $15.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

Operate forklift to load/unload tractor trailers and move items throughout the warehouse. The forklift operator will train on the first shift for about a month and then be moved to the second or third shift.

What you'll do:

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload products.
• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, including loading trucks, verifying counts, and ensuring proper placement of goods.
• Perform routine equipment inspections before and after use, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning, labeling, and documenting materials as they are moved or stored.
• Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas, ensuring products are stored safely, securely, and in the correct locations.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies, including proper lifting techniques, PPE requirements, and forklift operation protocols.
• Assist with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, sorting, and palletizing when needed.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, including clearing debris, organizing pallets, and following housekeeping standards.

Education: High School

Experience: 6 months
