Production Touch Up Technician

Spherion Johnstown is working to fill a 1st Shift, Production Touch Up Technician position in Johnstown, PA. The pay rate is $15.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

Masking & Demasking: Apply and remove protective materials on customer products using small hand tools, microscopes, and support equipment.

Quality Control: Inspect your own work to ensure strict compliance with quality, processes, and Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSPs).

Fixture Maintenance: Disassemble, clean, refurbish, and reassemble coating fixtures.

Cleanroom Operations: Follow cleanroom protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining strict hygiene standards.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all corporate safety policies, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling requirements, and hazardous waste disposal guidelines.

What you'll do:

• Education: High School Diploma/GED (or successful completion of the SCS Reading Comprehension assessment).
• Manual Dexterity: High degree of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precision work; ability to sit for extended periods.
• Visual Acuity: Ability to distinguish between colors (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, violet) and pass a near-vision test (20/20 corrected or uncorrected).
• Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly; ability to follow written/verbal work instructions and perform basic math.
• Reliability: A strong track record of punctuality and attendance.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect your own work for quality compliance and meet strict Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSPs).

• Technical Reading & Comprehension: Ability to follow complex written blueprints, verbal instructions, and safety protocols (such as Cleanroom and ESD guidelines).
• Reliability & Dependability: A strong commitment to consistent punctuality, attendance, and team collaboration.
