Spherion in Johnstown is working with a client to fill several Production Technician positions. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7AM-4PM. The pay range is $17.20-$20.00. This is a temp to hire position.

Description:

We are seeking detail oriented production technicians to join a manufacturing team in a fast paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assembling cable harnesses from schematic/technical drawings and operating various hand tools to support the build of high quality products.

What you'll do:

• Assemble multiple cable harnesses from schematic/technical drawings
• Crimp pins, terminate shields, and assemble connectors
• Manage harnesses with tie wrap/lacing, braided sleeves, and heat shrink as necessary
• Assemble electro-mechanical modules and systems as required
• Testing products
• Required to use wire strippers, crimpers, solder stations, heat gun, various hand tools, VOM, cable tester, and tape measure

Education: High School

Experience: 24 months

2 years experience in related field or academic study

Physical:

• Be able to lift up to 45 pounds
• Good manual dexterity of hands and eye sight to use a wide range of tools, materials, and equipment

Skills:

• General knowledge of common mechanical techniques
• Ability to verify measurements to validate part compliance using various measurement devices
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
• Ability to verify part dimensions against drawing requirements
• General computer data entry knowledge
