Spherion in Johnstown is working with a client in their search to fill production technician positions. They are located in Johnstown, PA. The pay is from $17.20-$21.00 hourly and it s a temp to hire opportunity.

Description:

Join a manufacturing team where your precision and technical skills directly contribute to high quality electronic production. We are looking for a detail orientated production technician to handle intricate assembly and testing in a supportive, temp to hire environment.

What you'll do:

• Assembling multiple cable harnesses from schematic/technical drawings
• crimp pins, terminate shields, and assemble connectors
• manage harnesses with tie wrap/lacing, braided sleeves and heat shrink as necessary
• assemble electro-mechanical modules and systems as required
• testing products

Education: High School

• High School Diploma

Experience:

2 Years experience in related field or academic study

Physical:

• Able to lift up to 45 pounds
• Good manual dexterity of hands

Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret schematic and technical drawings
• knowledge of crimping tools, wire strippers, and soldering equipment
• experience with cable harnesses, connectors, shields, and heat shrink applicators
• familiarity with using testing equipment
• High attention to detail
• General computer knowledge
