General Laborer

Spherion Johnstown is working to fill a Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm, General Laborer position in Johnstown, PA. The pay rate is $13.65 HOURLY.

Description:

The worker gets parts ready to be coated. They hang the parts on wires. The wires are on racks. After the parts are coated, the worker checks each one. They file off extra metal if needed. They fix small spots if needed. The worker does not work by the hot dipping area

What you'll do:

• Hang products on racks or wires for processing.
• Prepare parts for coating or galvanizing.
• Inspect finished products for quality.
• Remove excess material using hand tools.
• Perform touch-up work as needed.
• Clean and organize the work area.
• Load and unload materials.
• Package finished products for shipment.
• Follow safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Lift, carry, and move materials safely.
• Stand and work on your feet for the entire shift.

Education: No formal education required.

Physical:

• Must be able to lift up 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand the entire shift
