Spherion Johnstown is working to fill a 1st Shift, Packaging Machine Operator position in Somerset, PA. The pay rate is $14.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

You will get hands-on experience running processing equipment, monitoring product quality, and ensuring final packaging meets standards—all in an environment where safety always comes first. What you'll do:

• Set up, start, monitor, and shut down packaging lines and chemical processing equipment safely.
• Operate batching, liquid/powder filling, capping, labeling, or sealing machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform basic routine equipment adjustments, clear minor jams, and report mechanical issues to maintenance immediately.
• Maintain steady production flow to meet shift output goals while minimizing product waste and downtime

Education: No formal education required.
