Batch Mixer

Spherion Greensburg is working to fill a 1st shift, Mixer 1rd Shift position in Greensburg, PA. The pay rate is $16.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary.

We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented Mixers to join our 1st shift production team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our freshly baked products are created accurately from start to finish!

What you'll do:

• Dough Preparation & Mixing: Accurately measure, scale, and combine ingredients (flour, yeast, liquids, sugar, spices, etc.) according to formulas and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor commercial mixers (spiral, planetary, horizontal) adjusting speed, time, and temperature controls based on dough types.
• Quality Control: Monitor dough texture, temperature, hydration, and gluten development throughout the mixing and fermentation processes; make real-time adjustments as needed.
• Production Schedule Adherence: Coordinate with bakers, depositors, and oven operators to ensure dough is mixed and available on time to meet daily production targets.
• Sanitation & Food Safety: Thoroughly clean and sanitize mixing bowls, attachments, hoppers, and work areas in compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, and OSHA standards

Education: High School

Physical:

• Heavy Lifting (50+ lbs),Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs),Standing / Walking,Repetitive Motion,Bending / Stooping / Kneeling,Pushing / Pulling

Skills:

• Physical Stamina,Mathematical Skills,Knowledge of Bakery terms.
