Spherion Greensburg is working to fill a 1st Shift, Machine Operator position in Irwin, PA. The pay rate is $18.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

We are looking for a hardworking Machine Operator to join our metal extruding team. In this role, you will use large machines to shape metal into different forms. You will be part of a team that makes parts used in buildings, cars, and tools.

What you'll do:

• Run the Machine: Set up and operate the metal extruding press.
• Check Quality: Use tools like rulers and gauges to make sure the metal parts are the right size.
• Stay Safe: Follow all safety rules and wear your safety gear (glasses, earplugs, and boots).
• Keep it Clean: Help keep your work area tidy and make sure the machine is working correctly.
• Teamwork: Work with other operators to finish orders on time

Education: High School

Experience: 24 months

You must have worked as a machine operator before. We need someone who already knows how to handle big equipment., Physical Strength: You must be able to stand for a long time and lift up to 50 pounds., Good Eye: You should be able to spot mistakes or bends in the metal quickly., Reliable: You must show up on time for the 1st shift every day.

Physical:

• Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Bending / Stooping / Kneeling
