Assembler

Spherion Greensburg is working to fill a 3pm-12am M-H 3pm-7pm Friday, Assembler position in Irwin, PA. The pay rate is $19.50 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

Position involves assembling products to specifications daily.

Previous assembling experience is required in order to be successful at this position.

What you'll do:

• • Assemble finished products using various tools with strong attention to detail
• • Meet daily production standards and operational metrics
• • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and/or reports
• • Conduct visual inspections of assembled parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
• • Label products and perform initial packaging to prepare items for shipping.
• • Ensure proper handling, use, and disposal of chemicals, substances and materials, as needed
• • Promote a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures.
• • Support continuous improvement initiatives in areas of quality, safety, cost and on-time delivery through High Performance Teams.

Education: High School

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience: 11 months

Skills:

• • Prior manufacturing experience
• • Working knowledge of hand tools.
• • Proficient in basic math skills
• • Ability to effectively read, interpret, and follow instructions.
• • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• • Strong outlook towards safety and quality
• • Ability to stay organized and keep work area clean
• • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a lean environment
