Social Services Aide

Spherion is hiring a Social Service Aide to work with mental health professionals in Bentleyville, PA. This direct-hire part time role pays $14.50/hr, so this can be extra cash for the summer or upcoming holidays! This position would work around 20 hours a week, but more hours can be picked up!

Description:

As a Social Service Aide, you will help people with mental health needs with daily living activities.

What you'll do:

• Treat all people with care and fairness
• Assist in reaching goals and task by instructing residents in proper techniques for daily living
• Provide individual support and run therapeutic activities
• Drive and accompany clients to programs and activities
• Track and chart client progress toward goals
• Ensure overall resident safety at all times
• Immediately report all emergencies, accidents, or incidents to the director
• Protect resident rights and maintain strict confidentiality
• Keep the facility and company vehicles safe and hazard-free
• Assist residents with self-medication as prescribed
• Handle other duties as assigned

Education: High School

• High School Diploma or GED
• Act 33/34 clearances
• Valid PA driver's license
• State Police clearances
• Bondable

Related Experience: Strong empathy and communication skills., Strict understanding of confidentiality., Training in personal care, mental health, CPR, and First Aid., Understanding of mental health symptoms and behaviors., Ability to lead groups and solve problems creatively., Strong organizational and record-keeping skills., Assertive, independent, and proactive., Willing and able to drive as needed.
