Shipping Clerk

We are working to fill a 1st Shift, Shipping Clerk position in Erie, PA. The pay rate is $16.50 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.We are looking for someone that has experience in a shipping industry.

Description:

The Shipping Clerk is a critical member of the warehouse team as they are responsible for outgoing

shipments and packaging materials for finished goods.

What you'll do:

• Ship product and material out using the ERP system
• Use FedEx and UPS apps for domestic and/or international shipments
• Package outgoing shipments to customers
• Maintain detailed records of outgoing shipments
• Coordinate outgoing shipments to customer schedules
• Ship materials in accordance with customer specific work instructions
• Assure all required paperwork is with shipment and produce required labels
• Generate accurate, complete and clear paperwork for all outgoing materials
• Maintain part/customer special instructions in ERP system
• Provide excellent customer service to internal customers

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 6 months

Physical:

• Must be able to move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform extensive standing, walking, climbing and lifting great than 50% of the day
• Regularly required to reach, bend, grab, stoop and twist
• Must have excellent eyesight and hearing (cannot be color blind)
• Employees must wear safety glasses ,ESD smocks, ESD straps at all times
