Paint Technician

Spherion Erie is working with a client in their search to fill a 1st Shift, Paint Technician position in Fairview, PA. The pay rate is $16.00 HOURLY. This role requires daily overtime. Hours are generally 5:30am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.  Candidate must have own reliable transportation.

Job Description:

Paint Technicians prepare paint formulas for the coatings department using solvents, paints, scales, buckets, funnels, paint mixers and other materials necessary to perform paint mixing functions. 

Responsibilities:

• Paint Technician responsibilities include:
  • Identify the corresponding formulas based on reference numbers previously established by the Sampling Technician and Coating Supervisor
  • Measure and mix the ingredients in the formula according to the specifications
  • Take mixed paint mixtures to the production lines for use by the technician
  • Manage all assigned coating lines so that production remains operational
  • Label all paint materials properly

  Education: High School

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  Experience: 6 months

  Prior experience with paints and solvents required

  Physical:

  • Must have good visual acuity and able to see color

  Related Experience: manufacturing, production, painting, color match
