Assembly Worker

Spherion Erie is looking to fill a 1st Shift, Assembly Worker position in Fairview, PA. The pay rate is $15.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity. If you are someone that likes to work with your hands and put things together, this is the job for you!

Description:

The Assembly Worker works as an integral part of the production team responsible for assembly, inspection, packaging and the deburring of parts and/or materials.

What you'll do:

• Assembly Worker Job Responsibilities include:
  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners
  • Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
  • Inspects, deburs, and properly cleans parts.
  • Operate and properly adjust all electric and air torque guns, and understand readings on torque wrenches.

  Education: High School

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  Experience: 3 months

  Three to six months related experience and/or training

  Physical:

  • Assembly Worker physical requirements:
    • Senses Sight and hearing required; must be able to distinguish color (required particularly for electrical wiring).
    • Body Motion Full range including bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, stepping up and down, full wrist action.
    • Weight Lifting requirements are moderate for this job regularly lifting 25 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
