Spherion Erie is working to fill a 1st Shift, Quality Control Inspector (QC Inspector) position in Erie, PA. The pay rate is $16.00 to $18.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring product quality by inspecting materials and finished goods against customer requirements and IPC-A-610 standards. What you'll do:

• Perform visual inspections of printed circuit boards and assemblies
• Verify materials meet acceptance criteria (IPC standards, internal documentation, data sheets)
• Interpret technical documents including drawings, work instructions, BOMs, and test procedures
• Identify and segregate nonconforming materials per established procedures
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, product acceptance, and FAI requirements
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using applicable standards (AQL, QSL, customer specifications)
• Utilize inspection tools such as optical scopes, measurement devices, and X-ray equipment

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 36 months

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment, Experience in OEM or EMS environments preferred, Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485 standards

Physical:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods,Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs,Strong eyesight and hearing required (color vision necessary),Exposure to manufacturing environment, including machinery, noise, and chemicals,Required use of PPE (safety glasses, ESD smocks/strap

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,Excellent communication and attention to detail,Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment
