Spherion Erie is working with a client in their search to fill a 3rd Shift, Assembly Machine Operator position in Fairview, PA. The pay rate is $14.60 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

We specialize in the design and construction of high precision plastic and metal injection molds.

What you'll do:

• Tends to injection molding machines to support requirements and monitor production from assigned presses.
• Conducts visual inspections of molded parts to check product quality.
• Assists with the weighing and packaging of molded parts at assigned presses.
• Performs molding support operations on an as needed basis, including assisting with the reworking of on-hold parts; sorting returned parts to isolate defects; and relieving other operators on the molding floor.
• Communicates production related issues, such as product defects and equipment problems, on a regular basis to QA and / or supervisory personnel.
• Performs general housekeeping duties related to assigned areas to eliminate safety hazards and provide a neat and clean work environment.
• May assist with the on the job training and orientation of new production personnel as assigned.

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 6 months

Have a strong / independent work ethic and attendance history., The position will require an individual who takes pride in his / her work and can cooperate with others and work as a member of a team., On-the-job training will be provided.

Physical:

• Must be able to stand for long periods
