We are currently seeking a Lumber Grader to join a hardworking team at a local sawmill facility. This position involves inspecting and grading various types of lumber to ensure quality standards are met.
Description:
The primary responsibility is to determine the quality and grade of each board on the production line.
What you'll do:
- Accurately grade green and kiln-dried lumber
- Inspect rift, quarter sawn, and flat sawn boards
- Work primarily with 4/4 and 5/4 thicknesses
- Identify and sort different wood species
- Maintain consistent grading standards throughout the shift
Education: High School
- High school diploma or GED
- NHLA Certificate
Experience: 12 months
