Machine Operator

Spherion Connellsville is working to fill a 1st Shift, Machine Operator position in Mount Pleasant, PA. The pay rate is $19.77 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

Do you like working with your hands and fixing mechanical parts? We are looking for a Machine Adjuster to join our team! In this role, you will help run, set up, and fix the high-speed machines that make and fold our envelopes.

You don't need a college degree, but you do need good mechanical skills and a strong work ethic. We will train you on our specific machines

What you'll do:

• Set Up Machines: Prepare equipment to run different sizes and styles of envelopes.
• Keep Things Running: Watch machines closely during production to make sure envelopes are made correctly.
• Fix Problems: Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and adjust parts when something goes wrong.
• Do Preventive Care: Clean, oil, and perform basic daily maintenance on equipment.
• Check Quality: Test finished envelopes to ensure glued seams, folds, and cuts meet quality standards.
• Safety First: Follow all safety rules and keep your work area clean.

Education: High School

Experience: 12 months

Physical:

• Heavy Lifting (50+ lbs)
• Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Standing / Walking
• Repetitive Motion
• Bending / Stooping / Kneeling

Skills:

• Good math skills (reading a tape measure and understanding basic measurements).
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds during a shift.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Great attendance and a positive attitude.
